AR in-store game complements Hess loyalty app
The Hess Express app available for Android and iOS allows customers to find the nearest Hess Express locations with the best gas prices, check on availability of diesel fuel, and explore deals on specific in-store products. In addition, there are loyalty saving rewards, including the “Posterize” game. The app gives customers more reason to visit Hess stores each week.
How the AR basketball game works:
- The game is launched from an in-store sign
- Download the New Hess Express app for Android or iOS
- Open the app and launch the “Posterize” game and aim your mobile device at the in-store sign specified in the in-app instructions
- Peel back the virtual poster to engage in a game of one-on-one basketball
- The objective is to block the dunk attempt of your opponent
- When you see the target icon start to form, tap the screen and block the basketball shot
- After a player wins, the reward is a free soda
