Last week, 3D Cloud™ by Marxent hosted the inaugural 3D Commerce Summit at the Vinoy Hotel in Downtown St. Petersburg, Florida. It was a truly extraordinary event that brought together industry leaders and visionaries to dive deep into the exciting world of 3D technology in the furniture industry.

The invitation-only summit began with a lively welcome reception and registration, setting the tone for an action-packed event filled with insightful presentations, engaging workshops, and thought-provoking discussions. The two-day event was full of invaluable networking opportunities where connections were forged, and friendships were made.

It was a whirlwind of exciting presentations, deep learning about 3D content and processes, breakout sessions, captivating panels with leading furniture retailers, and hands-on workshops.

Beck Besecker, CEO and Co-Founder of 3D Cloud™ by Marxent delivered an eye-opening presentation on emerging technologies and innovations in furniture visualization. The session covered topics such as AI/ML, room scanning, and automatic content, showcasing their potential impact on furniture retailers.

Later in the day, Vince Kilian, Executive Director – Home and Office at 3D Cloud™ by Marxent, delivered a masterclass on 3D content. He started with pixels, did a deep dive into physically based rendering (PBR), then covered both content pipeline development and content reuse.

Other sessions included tips on 3D project best practices, measuring ROI on 3D initiatives, training and roll-out programs, and how to build a supportive internal coalition for 3D initiatives.

The first panel of the day was about the role of 3D in enhancing the customer experience. Panelists from leading furniture companies shared strategies, insights, and success stories of leveraging 3D technology to create personalized and engaging shopping experiences.

A second engaging panel discussion featured retail leaders who had successfully launched 3D initiatives. They shared their experiences, discussing planning, resource alignment, key consideration, and avoiding project pitfalls.

The sessions wrapped up with a hilarious Shark Tank-style pitch contest where teams unleashed their creativity and imagination to envision the future of 3D technology in the furniture industry, then presented to our panel of expert judges.

The event concluded with an evening gathering at the St. Pete Pier, providing a delightful closure. Attendees left the event inspired, equipped with valuable insights, and ready to embrace the future of 3D commerce. It was the perfect way to celebrate the connections made, the knowledge gained, and the incredible experiences shared.
