The VR/AR Association (VRARA) will once again be playing host for the VR/AR Global Summit, taking place on September 21 & 22, 2018 in Vancouver, Canada. The event attracts VR/AR/MR professionals from around the world to discuss topics including education, entertainment, enterprise, healthcare, retail, training, blockchain and more. The Global Summit itinerary includes keynote addresses, engaging panels, educational workshops, interesting networking opportunities, demos, exhibits, films, product launches and, of course, the requisite parties.
Gabe Karp, Marxent’s Chief Development Office, will be a featured speaker at this year’s Global Summit. Gabe will be delivering a talk titled “AR or VR – Why choose?” which will explore why Macy’s and other enterprise retailers are investing in both AR and VR to enhance the omnichannel customer journey.
Gabe is also a Partner at Detroit Venture Partners, a Detroit-based Venture Capital firm that backs seed and early-stage technology companies. He serves on several boards within DVP’s portfolio.
A little background on the VR/AR Global Summit:
The conference is a new iteration of the CVR show that ran for 2 years in Vancouver. The event last year was attended by over 750 VR/AR/MR professionals on the Industry Day, with the entire event attracting 5000 people over 3 days for the expo. At the end of 2017 the original owners of the show decided not to continue with CVR and the VR/AR Association (VRARA) saw the opportunity to fill the gap, and the VR/AR Global Summit was created. The VRARA will build on the momentum of CVR, plus use its global reach to bring together brilliant and creative minds in Vancouver in September. The show retains the same Executive Producer and will see the return of great speakers, sponsors, and exhibitors from previous year.
See you in Vancouver!
