This week, we spotlight Francisco Cardona, System Administrator, at 3D Cloud™ by Marxent. Let’s read on to learn more!
Francisco, how did you learn about 3D Cloud™ by Marxent, and what is your current role at the company?
My friend Steven Kull, who has been working alongside 3D Cloud for a few years, was helping the Director of People Operations find an internal System Administrator with a can-do attitude. That was just over two years ago.
What does your role consist of?
Where to begin….TLDR; Your boy wears any hats….and doesn’t look bad in them.
- Create processes and reports and establish standards for the internal team in the following areas: access management, incident management, internal customer support, and hardware.
- I will work extensively with a wide array of functional leaders and subject matter experts to identify, develop, and deploy new business processes.
- Complete internal system audits and prepare for upgrades.
- Identify and recommend procedures and process modifications necessary to effectively and efficiently support the needs of the organization.
- Manage projects from requirements to design, testing, deployment, system documentation, and training.
- Manage vendor relationships and hold the vendor accountable for meeting goals.
- Negotiate vendor pricing to achieve cost savings.
- Maintain processes built to support day-to-day operations and ensure that all business-critical processes are running.
- Maintenance of internal software systems and packages, including on-boarding and off-boarding team members.
- Coach and mentor team members on best practices with data security.
What do you like most about the work we do here?
The multiplicity of intelligence and watching direct teams make magic.
What do you think makes our team culture unique?
The amount of communication that is had across time zones and the ease it feels to do so.
How do you structure your day?
It depends on the day, and they all start with a yoga flow and tea or coffee. Daily work structure is made easier by following the guides set in place by the leadership team. With our 5x5s, morning stand-ups, weekly check-ins, and, if it’s Friday, the company-wide meeting.
If you could visit any place in the world, where would it be?
Patagonia or the most southern point of the Americas.
